Learn More About Radical Next

As humans merge ever more deeply with technologies that seem to be advancing impossibly fast, we have entered a new era—the Age of Acceleration—that will call our very humanity into question. Are you ready for what comes next?

With transformative technologies like artificial intelligence, extended realities, and quantum computing increasingly blurring the boundaries between human and machine, organic and synthetic, reality and virtuality, we find ourselves at a crossroads of history, contemplating:

Who am I?

What is real?

And what does it mean to be human in this new reality?

Deep-tech entrepreneur and futurist Sam Rad (Samantha Radocchia) has spent over a decade at the frontier of the technological revolution. In Radical Next, she guides readers on an expedition into a future that challenges the most fundamental aspects of the human experience:

  • Self: How we think about who we are

  • Family, Faith, and Community: How we connect with the people in our lives

  • Organizations and Governance: How we work and what rules we set for society

  • The Big Picture: How we fit into the universe

Drawing from cutting-edge science and deep personal experience, Radical Next serves both as a forward-thinking manual for deprogramming from the conventional operating systems that have defined us for centuries and a provocative call to action to shape a future that is balanced, connected, and profoundly human.

Written with the analytical depth of a rogue anthropologist and the insightful perspective of a seasoned technologist and spiritual seeker, Radical Next is an essential handbook for creating a world that both embraces technological change and preserves the essence of our humanity.

Meet the Author

Sam Rad (Samantha Radocchia) is a lifelong student of humanity—futurist, anthropologist, and creative technologist—a four-time technology entrepreneur, and the founder of the meta-media storytelling studio Radical Next.

Sam has shared stories of radical change with global audiences on stages across five continents—empowering individuals, leaders, and organizations not only to survive but to thrive amid radical and accelerating change. Her work has led to advisory roles with the United Nations, the World Economic Forum, and the Federal Reserve, among others.

She has served in multiple founding executive roles across the C-Suite, including co-founder of NYOUM, a London-based generative AI communication platform, and Chronicled, a San Francisco-based blockchain company bringing trust to global commerce and supply chains. Prior to Chronicled, Sam founded two companies leveraging AI and to map personal aesthetics and retail behavior.

She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, English Literature, and Linguistics from Colgate University, a master’s degree from New York University in Game Design and Social Analysis of Technology, and several patents linking the physical and digital worlds. A self taught engineer, Sam learned to write computer languages around the same time she learned human languages. She is considered a pioneer in privacy protocols, applied cryptography, blockchain systems, artificial intelligence, and natural language processing.

Sam’s work has been featured in Newsweek, Fast Company, and Forbes, where she previously wrote as a contributor. She was named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 List for Enterprise Technology and is also the author of the bestselling book: Bitcoin Pizza: The No-Bullshit Guide to Blockchain.

Sam is a citizen of the world and is most often found people-watching somewhere between a Brooklyn coffee shop, South American rainforest, London’s West End, or some undisclosed off-grid location.
