SAMANTHA RADOCCHIA

Radical Next with Sam Rad is the future-focused metamedia storytelling studio, media brand, consultancy, and experience facilitator led by futurist, author, storyteller, and speaker Samantha Radocchia, known to many as Sam Rad.

BORN RADICAL

Sam is the founder of  3 emerging tech companies, futurist, acclaimed speaker, and author of the upcoming book Radical Next: Thriving in Times of Radical Change and #1 Best Selling book, Bitcoin Pizza: The No-Bullshit Guide to Blockchain. She was an early pioneer in augmented/virtual realities, AI, and blockchain systems, holding several patents linking the physical and digital worlds. Most notably, her inventions are recognized as contemporary to the ERC-721 standard, or Non-Fungible Token (NFT).

She was trained in anthropology and symbolic systems, studying game and virtual worlds, multiple dimensions, metaverses — pushing the bounds of human consciousness and social organizations through her research. This work has taken Sam on a journey working with with a range of frontier technologies, indigenous and emerging social structures, people, places, and practices. She refers to herself as an archaeologist of the future, as Fredric Jameson coined -- applying a traditional anthropological ethnographic approach to envisioning and illustrating future possibilities.

A friend to risk, she was previously a competitive skydiver, and thinks she probably should have had a career as a stunt double.

Sam is passionate about empowering individuals, groups, and organizations to leap into their radical next chapters, become comfortable with the uncomfortable, learn to unlearn, and thrive in times of radical change.
